Personals Mr. and Mrs. Frank McFadyen and Miss Kathy Hood attended the graduation exercises at NCSU, Raleigh, Saturday. Bill Hood received the Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering - Construction. He is presently employed by the North Carolina Department of Transportation, Raleigh. Mrs. Jean Renfro recently return ed to her home in Asheville after being here during the death and funeral services of her sister, Mrs. Ollie Graham Giles. Mrs. Fleet a Maxwell spent several days in Rockingham last week in the home of her sister-in-law, Mrs. Claytie Maxwell. Attending the graduation of Miss Donna Scarboro at UNC-Chapel Hill Sunday, were her mother, Mrs. Martin Scarboro Jr., grand mother, Mrs. Martin Scarboro Sr. and Heather Scarboro. Miss Scar boro received a degree in Dental Hygiene. Mrs. Lacy McNeill recently spent the weekend at Holden Beach. Her guests were her sisters. Mrs. Kathy Hood earned the Post Doctorate degree in Comparative Psychology from Temple Universi ty, Philadelphia, Pennslyvania. She is presently a Post Doctoral Fellow in Psychiatry at UNC, Chapel Hill. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Harris and children visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Harris, during the weekend. They were en route to their home in Durham after spend ing the past week in Florida. Mr. and Mrs. Danny Pannell left Monday to return to their home in Lake Forest, California, after a visit here with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Pannell, and Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Warner. Kempor Fitch will be the speaker at the one hundredth anniversary observance of the Women of the Church of Lumber Bridge Presbyterian Church, Sun day, May 29, at 1 1 a.m. Congrega tions of Parkton and Rex Churches have been invited to join the celebration. The double ring ceremony took place at the Raeford Presbyterian Church at 3 o clock. Dr. John Ropp, pastor, officiated. The church altar was centered with a large arrangement of white peonies, fuggi snapdragons, star burst gypsophila, and springari fern. Each side of the altar was graced with a tree candelabra with white tapers and an arrangement of flowers matching the altar centerpiece. Pews were decorated jwith gypsophila and springari fern and bows of white lace. A program of nuptial music was presented by Ashley Burrell, organist, and Daniel Norton, soloist. The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a formal gown of white organza with silk venice lace bodice, featuring a high neckline with sheer bishop sleeves and long cuffs of silk lace. Ruffles edged the shoulder and extended from the waistline the length of the gown, creating an apron effect, and extending into chapel train. The layers of sheer flounces were lace trimmed. Her floral silk halo, with fresh stephanotis and gypsophila, top ped the chapel length veil of illu sion. . . , . She carried a colonial bouquet of white roses, stephanotis and baby's breath, tied with strands of pearls and satin streamers. Miss Marinell Johnson, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor. She wore a formal gown of lilac chiffon over taffeta, styled with spaghetti straps, empire waistline accented with tucks, and matching tucks on the botton of the gown. A matching chiffon jacket with roll ed neck collar and tucks on sleeves accompanied the gown. She car ried a nosegay of purple daisies, raspberry miniature carnations, shell pink sweetheart roses, and gypsophila, tied with lavender taf feta and white lace ribbon streamers, and centered on a white lace spanish fan with Rogarth design . .. _ .
