RIF Program
During the South Hoke School RIF Program presented on May 6 in the
'school library. Miss Pam Heath , a third grade student, recited two poems
?and showed all second grade students a Mother's Day filmstrip. Each se
cond grader received a book of his choice compliments of the Hoke Coun
ty Board of Education and the Raeford Women 's Club.

Julie and Joan Frazier, who are
the daughters of Mr. and Mrs.
Jack Fra2ier of Rockfish, have
been named to the dean's list for
the spring semester at East
Carolina University.
Julie Frazier, a music therapy
major, completed the semester
with a 3.7 and Joan, who . is a
music education major, finished
with a 3.8 average.

Pricking interest for next year
South Hoke Kindergarten teachers provide activities for the in-coming children in hopes of gaining their interest
for the coming year. Their efforts seem to have worked as every face and ear has turned its attention on the

speaking teacher.
Orientation breakfast
Thursday, May 19, 37 kindergarten hopefuls and their parents assembled at South Hoke for orientation for the
1983-84 school year. Tours of the school were given by principal Hank Richards while kindergarten teachers of
fered activities for the children.
