Honor roll named at FM A Flora Macdonald Academy has completed its fifth six-week period and released the names of the following students in grades S I | through 12 whose cumulative averages placed them on one of the academy's honor rolls. The Headmaster's Honor Roll requires a minimum average of 95 and students on the P.M.A. Honor Roll maintained averages of 90-94 for the grading period. The Special Roll is composed of students who raised their average | | it least 5 points over the proceeding grading period. Olcsier of 1313 Eighth St., Lewiston, Idaho, and retired Army Lt. Col. Anthony D. Kelly of 8235 Canyon Ferry Road, Helena, Montana, has participated in Global Shield 84, an exercise in volving U.S. Air Force, Air Force Reserve, Air National Guard, Navy and Marine Corps units, and elements of the Canadian forces. The exercise, coordinated by the Air Force Strategic Air Command (SAC), was designed to enhance readiness and the ability of SAC to carry out orders should deterrence fail. Ramsey is a computer operator with the 341st Strategic Missile Wing at Malmstrom Air Force Base, Montana. Her husband, Kenneth, is the daughter of Johnny A. and Delores J. Ramsey of Rural Route 2, Raeford. The sergeant is a 1976 graduate of Lawiston High School. Completes course Specialist E5 Edward A. Mims of Aberdeen completed the Basic Noncommissioned Of ficers Course conducted by the Office of the Adjutant General and the 3286th U.S. Army Reserve School at the North Carolina Military Academy ? Ft. Bragg. The course consisted of five weekends of training in many areas, such as, Military Justice, Personnel Ad ministration, Signal Com munication Procedures, Land Navigation, Training to Lead and Training to Train. The theme for this year's contests was "What My Soil and Water Con servation District Does For Me." Students in the 4th, Sth and 6th grades participated. First, second and third place winners were chosen from each grade with cash prizes of $20, $13 and $10. First and second honorable mention were chosen from each school with cash prizes of $7.50 and $3. All participants received a "Certificate of Participation."
