After a 42-yard pass from Quarterback Marco Pickett to McMillan, the Bucks scored as Elgin Blue rushed in from the three yard line. V That was the last score of the game. The Friday night game came down to a contest between the defensive units, said Coach Tom Jones. "We were extremely proud of our defensive performance," he said. The team made a few mistakes, but the defense covered for them as well as they could. "We gave them five possessions inside our 35," said Jones. Of the loss, Jones said: "Offen sively, we've got to do a better job in coaching our strengths." Jones was referring to more ful ly using the running skills of Quarterback Marco Pickett for running the option. "We are going to start using it more/' he said. This Friday night, the Bucks will take on Cape Fear High School at home. "Size will be a big obstacle against Cape Fear," said Jones. "Traditionally, Cape Fear has been a very good, very close game. I don't expect any different this year," he said. The coach is going to be em phasizing speed and agility during this week in practice to combat the size of the Cape Fear players. "Our speed will be a key in this week's game," Jones said.
