Short of first down
This Vtkbtgg' running is stopped just short of a first down during
Saturday's draw battle with Coach BUI Clark's Steeters. The Midget
,? Football League teams tied 0-0. George Rock holt's Vikings are now
'3-0-1 for the season, while the Steelers are 3-1-1. Players will be
chosen from these teams, as well as the Redskins and the Rams, for a
Hoke County All-Star team to play for the title in either Richmond or
Scotland counties later this month.

The Buck defense was hot and

West Robeson to only 78 yards on
the ground.
Hoke gained 288 yards rushing.
Although a Hoke strong point
this season has not been in the air,
the team still passed for more yard
age than did their opponents.
The Bucks passed for 63 yards
while West Robeson passed for
only 56.
The team also improved on
another weak point that has
somewhat plagued the team this
season. .
