Ah, the life
Some horses are bred for racing and some for showmanship, but this
animal is someone 's pet and friend. Wandering about a pasture all day
eating grass is not a bad existence and this fine looking specimen is liv
ing proof of that. One of two horses in a Hoke County field that day,
this one seemed to keep looking around for someone to come ride
him. When no one came, he resumed his eating only to glance up occa
sionally when an unfamiliar noise passed.

The Tae Kwon Do Karate class is currently being held on
Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30-7 p.m. in the upper room
over Howell's Drug Store on Main Street. Cost for the course is
$25.00 per month for instruction, plus $6 per year for insurance
(age 18 and younger) or $12 per year for insurance for those 19
and over. For more information, please call the Recreation Of
fice at 5-4035.
Participants of the 1984 Midget Football League who have
NOT turned in their uniforms, will NOT be able to participate in
any Hoke County Parks and Recreation sponsored events until
the uniform is returned. Please arrange to get your uniform back
to the Recreation Office as soon as possible.
