BROCCOLI STRATA
8 slices Firm white bread
2 pkgs. (10 oz. each) frozen, chop
ped broccoli, cooked, drained, and
pressed dry
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
2 cups (8 ozs.) shredded swiss
cheese
4 large eggs
2 cups milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
Arrange 4 slices bread in greased
8 - or 9-inch square baking dish or
overlap slices in a 9x5x3 -inch loaf
pan. Sprinkle with half the swiss
cheese and broccoli. Repeat layers.
Whisk eggs, milk, salt, nutmeg,
and pepper; pour evenly over top;
sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
(Can be made ahead up to this
point). Refrigerate at least 3 hours;
strata will be puffier if refrigerated
overnight. Bake in preheated 3S0?
oven 1 hour or until knife inserted
near center comes clean. Makes 4
servings. NOTE: You can use 2
packages frozen broccoli spears.
Chop them coarsely and reserve
large floret pieces for top.
CHICKEN BREAST SUPREME
Chicken Breasts 6-8 servings
1 small can cream of chicken soup
1 small can cream of mushroom
soup
Salt and pepper to taste
1/8 cup green peppers, chopped
1/8 cup red peppers, chopped
Paprika (optional)
Lightly salt and pepper chicken
breasts. (Add paprika for good
color.) Place chicken in baking pan
and bake at 350 ?F. until tender
and slightly brown. Drain excess
fat. Mix soups and spoon over
chicken breasts. Sprinkle peppers
over chicken and return to oven.
Bake until soups bubble. Serve
hot.

council chambers of the City of
Raeford, Raeford, North Carolina
at which hearing any interested
citizens of the Chy of Raeford may
present their views concerning the
Resolution, hereinafter set out,
showing the city's intent to change
the City Charter allowing four
year terms for the City Council
and the Mayor.

RESOLUTION OF INTENT
TO AMEND THE
CITY OF RAEFORD CHARTER
WHEREAS, the City Council of
the City of Raeford desires to
amend its charter to provide for
the election of city councilmen and
mayor for four (4) year terms in
stead of two (2) year terms.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED by the City Council
that it is the intent of said City
Council to amend its city charter
pursuant to North Carolina
General Statute 160A 101 and
160A 102 as follows:
Chapter 3. Governing Body
3-3 Term of office of members
of the Council. Members of the
Council are elected to four-year
terms.
(a) For the November, 1985 elec
tion, the two councilmen receiving
the highest number of votes are to
serve a four-year term and the
three councilmen receiving the
least number of votes will serve for
two years. After the 1985 election,
the Council shall be elected for
four-year terms.
3-4 Election of Mayor; term of
office. The qualified voters of the
entire City elect the Mayor. He is
selected to a four-year term of of
fice.
