This homemade wreath adorns the home of Mr. and Mrs. Julian Johnson. The wreath was made by Mrs. Johnson, who used fresh ap ples and a pineapple for the decoration. Add marshmallow creme, nuts and vanilla, beat until well blended. Pour into greased 13 x 9-inch pan. Cool at room temperature. Cut in to squares. % Oraage SUce Cake 1 cup margarine 1 y* cups sugar 4 eggs Vi teaspoon salt Vi cup buttermilk 1 cup coconut 1 teaspoon soda 3 Vi cups sifted all-purpose flour 2 cups chopped dates 1 lb. orange slices cut in small pieces 1-2 cups chopped pecans Cream margarine and sugar thoroughly. Add eggs one at a time. Mix soda and salt with flour and add these dry ingredients alter nately with butter -milk to sugar margarine mixture. Begin and end with dry ingredients. Mix well. Pour into greased and floured tube pan. Bake in oven (270-300?) 2Vi hours. While cake is still hot and still in the pan, mix the following topping. Topping: 1 cup fresh orange juice and 2 cups powdered sugar. Pour topping over hot cake. Remove from pan when topping has been absorbed. Do not serve immediately. Allow to stand and mellow several hours or overnight. Germaa Chocolate Pie Vi bar sweet cooking chocolate V* c. butter Vi c. sugar Pinch of salt Vi c. light corn syrup 3 eggs V* c. milk I Vi c. tbsp. cornstarch 1 tsp. vanilla Vi c. chopped nuts V* c. flaked coconut 1 unbaked 9-in. pie shell Melt the chocolate in top of dou ble boiler over hot water. Add the butter, sugar, salt and corn syrup and stir until dissolved. Cool. Beat the eggs, then add the milk and cornstarch and mix well. Add to the chocolate mixture, then stir in the vanilla, nuts and coconut. Pour into the pie shell. Bake at 375 ? for about 30 minutes or until filling is set. Chocolate Pudding Cake I package (6 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips 1 Vi cups Bisquick baking mix Vi cup chopped nuts, if desired XA cup sugar Vi cup milk 2 tablespoons vegetable oil 1 teaspoon vanilla ) egg 1 {/i cups hot water ** cup sugar Place XA cup of the chocolate chips in 2-quart . microwavable casserole. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition. Stir in flour. Add chocolate syrup and vanilla. Pour into 11 Vi x 8 inch rectangular pan. Bake 30 minutes in 350? oven. (Optional: Add 1 cup chopped pecans.) Leave cake in pan and pour icing over it while it is still warm. Icing 1 cup sugar 2 sticks margarine '/> cup undiluted evaporated milk cup semi-sweet chocolate morsels Place sugar, milk and margarine in saucepan. Bring to a boil and boil for one additional mixture. Remove from heat and add chocolate morsels. Stir until dissolved. Pour over cake.
