Special athletes from all around Hoke County took
the field for Hoke's annual Special Olympic field
events. The events ranged from running, wheelchair
races and long jumps to special booths for the chil
dren. Hoke County High School students joined in
the events with a special R.O.T.C. booth and as
volunteers. The skies were blue and the day was
warm for the event and all the athletes — winners
and losers — had a wonderful time.
