4-H.., More Than You Ever Imagined Hoke County Youth Takes Prize At Sewing Contest Holly Anne Haskins of Aber deen was named a winner in the North Carolina Cotton Wives’ 1996 Back-to-School Sewing Contest, held recently in Raleigh at Peace College. In the category for 12 and 13 years old, Haskins won first place for her outfit, a three-tiered skirt, lined vest and blouse with French Matthew Williamson is shown here with him lamb, Tiger. The 4-H Lamb Show was cuffs and covered buttons. All the held September 23 and was sponsored by Farm Chemicals. Larry & Brian Williams are shown here with 4-H members during the 4-H Horse ngrront cotton Clinic. The event was part of the 4-H Summer Fun Program. * pieces were made of three different music-theme material designs. Haskins placed black trim around the cuffs and collar. Haskins, daughter of Albert and Yvonne Haskins, is an active 4- H’er. She is a member of the Willing Workers 4-H Club. The N.C. Cotton Wives, whose members are wives of North Caro lina Cotton Growers Association members, provide cash awards to the top five winners in each cat egory- 9 to 11 year olds and 12 and 13 year olds - of the Back-to-School Sewing Contest.
