PAYMENT
Advertisements mailed or brought to the newspaper office should be paid upon
placement. Persons who are unsure how many times the advertisement will run should
pay for four insertions; if the advertisement is stopped earlier, the unused balance will be
refunded. The newspaper will bill customers who place ads by telephone or fax except
ads in the personals category. For advertisements placed by telephone or fax the
newspaper will add a $1.00 service charge for each past due billing.

How to write a good classified ad...
1. Sl;iri your ad with ihe merchandise you are selling - starling with the merchandise
makes it easier for the reader to locate your item lor sale.
2. Always include the price of the item you are selling - 52% of classified readers do
not respond to ads that do not include a price.
.3. Keep abbreviations to a minimum - make it easy for readers tb understand.
4. I’hice yourself in the reader’s position - ask what you would like to know about the
merchandise for sale - include information such as brand names, colors and other
specific descriptions.
