Jenesia Ineice Cobb, infant daugh

Kershaw, of Raeford, died Tuesday
May 14, 2002 in FirstHealth Moore
Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
Graveside services were conducted
at 11 a.m. Friday, May 17 in Silver
Grove Community Cemetery.
In addition to her parents, Jenesia is
survived by her maternal grandparents,
Hattie and Nathaniel Kershaw of the
home; her paternal grandparents, Henry
and Barbara McPhaul of Raeford; her
paternal grandfather, Danny Dupree of
Raeford; her paternal great-grandmoth
ers, Nettie B. Cobb and Mary McPhaul,
both of Raeford.

Adolphus Ross
Adolphus Ross, 75, 6f Raeford,
died Monday, May 13,2002 in Cape
Fear Valley Medical Center in
Fayetteville.
Funeral services were conducted
at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 18 in
Center Grove Missionary Baptist
Church held by Dr. Samuel Norman.
Burial was in Nazareth Baptist Church
Cemetery in Wagram.
Survivors include three sons, Eddie
Shaw of Fayetteville, James Shaw of
Parkton and Larry Ross of Wagram;
three daughters. Penny McQueen of
Raeford and Cathy Ross and Stephanie
Ross, both of Fayetteville; three broth
ers, Andrew Ross and Welton Ross,
both of Fayetteville and Ernest Ross
of Raeford; 16 grandchildren; and
five great-grandchildren.

James F. Mitchell
James Franklin Mitchell, 73, of
Raeford, died Friday, May 17, 2002
in Autumn Care Nursing Home in
Raeford.
Graveside services were conducted
at 3 p.m. Monday, May 20 in Raeford
Cemetery held by the Reverend David
McGugan.
Survivors include two sons, Jimmy
Mitchell and Michael Mitchell, both
of Texas; three daughters, Gladys M.
Jones of Texas and Lois M. Dodson
and Marilyn M. Davis, both of Rae
ford; two sisters, Mary Hollings of
Mississippi and Dorothy Tegotthoff
of Tennessee; nine grandchildren; and
four great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Josephine Brown, 79, of Red
Springs, died Wednesday, May 15,
2002 in Southeastern Regional Medi
cal Center in Lumberton. Mrs. Brown
was a member of Mount Tabor Pres
byterian Church and retired owner of
Brown’s Hardware in Red Springs.
Graveside services were conducted
at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 18 in Smith
Cemetery in Red Springs held by the
Rev. Ben Burrows.
Survivors include one son, Will
iam P. Brown of Goldsboro; one
daughter, Becky B. Currie of Red
Springs; and one grandchild.

be in Antioch Presbyterian Church
Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Bill
Stutts of the home; one daughter,
Cheryl Wilson of Red Springs; three-
brothers, Billy Currie, Harold Currie
and Eddie Currie, all of Red Springs;
and one grandson, Travis Wilson of
Red Springs.

Leslie Bruton, 68, of Fayetteville,
died in Cape Fear Valley Medical
Center Monday, May 20, 2(K)2.
The funeral will be held Friday,
May 24 at 10 a.m. at Tabernacle Bap
tist Church. Burial will be in the church
cemetery. Visitation is at Reeves Fu
neral Home in Fayetteville Thursday,
May 23 at 6-8 p.m. Mr. Bruton is
survived by his wife, Kum-Sun
Bruton; one son, Robert Bruton of
Fayetteville; one daughter, Janet Wing
of Fayetteville; four grandchildren;
and one great-grandson.
James A. Breeden
James Andrew Breeden, 50, of
Raeford, died Sunday, May 19,2002
in UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.
The funeral will be conducted at 4
p.m. Thursday, May 23 at Mount Sinai
Holiness Church by Pastor Harley
Johnson and Bishop William McArn.
Burial will be in Laurel Hill Mission
ary Baptist Church Cemetery.
M r. Breeden is surv i ved by a daugh
ter, Tosha B. Clark of Raeford; a son,
Corey Stokes of San Antonio, Texas; a
sister, Mary D. Brunson of Raeford;
two brothers, John R. Breeden of Rae
ford and Ervin Breeden of Greensboro;
and three grandchildren.

Wednesday, May 22 at Buie Funeral
Home, which is serving the family.
