Davis celebrated a glamorous and elegant 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday morning, April 20 at the United American Freewill Baptist Church Confer ence "B" Headquarters in Raeford. The celebration was officiated by their daughter, Minister Debbie G. Davis. The wedding party consisted of children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, members of their congregations, classmates and friends. Mrs. Davis is the pastor of Faith Deliverance Temple in Lillington. She is employed at Burlington Industries in Raeford. Dr. Davis is the pastor of McLauchlin Chapel A.M.F.. Zion Church in Raeford. He is retired as a civil service manager of Fort Bragg. s Musical selections included "Great is thy Faithful ness." by Mrs. Kimberley B. Roseboro, and "God’s Got It All in Control," by Ms. Brenda Kelly-Cobb. Music provided was by Maestro J. Greg Kelly. Wedding director was Mrs. Carol B. Kelly. The bride was escorted by her sons, Mr. Curtis B. (Brad) Dav is and Mr. Eric R. (Randy) Davis. Mrs. Davis wore an ivory bridal satin gown with an overlay of silk lace, heavily beaded with pearl and irideseent beads. The gown featured a sweetheart neck and back. The gown’s long sleeves were tapered with two tiers of fingertip illusion design with cascading pearls and Austrian crystal. The detachable chapel train was of satin and lace, beaded with pearls and accented with a double bow. Acting parents of the bride were Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Davis of Fayetteville. Acting parents of the groom were Ms. Bessie D. Willis of Fayetteville and Mr. Cleveland (Mack) McDougald of Lillington. Matron of honor was Dr. Bennie L. Kelly of Raeford and maid of honor was Ms. Annie B. McDougald of Lillington. The matron and maid of honor wore elegant red dresses with waist jackets. Bridesmaids were Dr. Mary K. Thomas, Elder Mary Adkinson, Mrs. Elsie Buie, Mrs. Betty McNealy, Ms. Sandra King, Ms. Dianne Emanuel, all of Raeford, Mrs. Lillian K. Davis of Wilson, Mrs. Jacqueline Davis of Monroe, Mrs. Cassandra D. Davis of Fort Lee, Vir ginia, Mrs. Karen Young and Ms. Mia Watts, both of Fort Gordon, Georgia, Ms. Linda Cameron and Ms. Marilyn Floyd, both of Lillington and Mrs. Annette Blue of Fayetteville. They wore platinum colored dresses with waist Jackets. Maids were Ms. Adrienne Hollingsworth, Ms. Kendall Carter, Ms. Nancy Marsh, all of Fayetteville, Mrs. Janine Morrison of Cape Town, Africa, Mrs. TaNesha Hollingsworth of LaGrange, Ms. Kendra Davis of Wilson and Ms. Brianna McKinney of Fort Gordon, Georgia. They wore red dresses with shoulder shawls. Flower girls were Misses Alexia and Alexas Gill of Greensboro, and Ms Kristen Hollingsworth, great- granddaughter of the couple of LaGrange, pulled by her father, Mr. Demetrius L. Hollingsworth, in a decorated red wagon, decorated by Mrs. Earnestine Blue. The flower girls wore laced white dresses. The miniature bride, Ms. Jasmine McKinney of Fort Gordon, wore an off-white laced wedding dress with veil. Miniature groom Mr. Bryant A. Davis of Monroe, wore an off-white tuxedo with matching attire. Ring bearers were Master Kristopher Kelly and Master Taurice Stackhouse, both of Fayetteville, great- grandsons of the couple. They wore off-white tuxedos with matching attire. Groomsmen were Mr. Robert Blue Sr., Dr. Robert Bronson and Mr. Billy Peterkin, all of Raeford, Mr. Joseph Bronson Jr., Mr. Calvin Davis, Mr. Eric Hollingsworth, Mr. Gilbert Marsh, Mr. Lonnie Blue, and Mr. Cedric Stackhouse, all of Fayetteville, Mr. Oren Davis of Wilson, Mr. Omar Davis and Mr. Carlos Goins, both of Raleigh, Mr. Andrey Morrision of Pope Air Force Base, Mr. Michael Tolson and Mr. Jonathan McKinney of Fort Gordon, Georgia, Mr. Demetrius Hollingsworth of LaGrange and Mr. Ryan Davis of anniver(Saiy Monroe. They wore black tuxedos with red or gray vests and white shirts with black button covers. Best men were Dr. Walter Bronson Jr, of Baltimore, Maryland, Mr. James A. David and Mr. Aaron D. Davis, both of Fayetteville. They wore black tuxedos with gray vests and white shirts with black button covers. Rehearsal dinner The rehearsal dinner was held on Friday, April 19, 2002 at 6 p.m. at Miracle Temple HDCOG in Fayetteville where Dr. Bennie L. Kelly is pastor. Reception The reception was a “sit down” lunch in the Crystal Ballroom of the Sheraton-Four Point Hotel. The wedding hostesses were Mrs. Earnestine Blue, Mrs. Annie McGeachy, Ms. Carlista Smith, Mrs. Betty Peterkin and Mrs. Joyce Waller, all of Raeford, Mrs. Maggie McGill and Mrs. Shirley Bronson, both of Fayetteville. The photographer was Mr. David Smith of Raeford. The wedding cake was by “Mrs. Sherry.” Programs were printed by the Miracle Temple Printing Staff.
