Obituaries May 12, 2010 District Court THE NEWS-JOURNAL Raeford, N.C 3A Barbara Ragin Barbara Ann McCall Ragin, 52, of 208 Haire Road, died Sat urday, May 1, 2010. The funeral was held Saturday, May 8 at 3 p.m. in Mount Pisgah Resource Center. Burial was in Friendship Church cemetery. Survivors include her husband, Jonathan Ragin; two daughters, Barnisha Ragin and Tiffany Ra gin; her mother, Annie McCall; and siblings, Shelton, Douglas, Jerome, Mingyon, Tamara and Shenna. Rachel Webb Rachel Jones Webb, 86, died Tuesday, May 4, 2010. She was born in Hoke County and was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Webb. A graveside service was held Tuesday, May 11 at 3 p.m. in Ashley Heights Baptist Church cemetery. Survivors include her daugh ter, Jane Webb Barefoot and her husband Allen, of San Antonio, Texas; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Ruth Goodwin Ruth Kersey Goodwin, 86, of Laurel Hill, died Monday, May 10, 2010. The funeral will be held Thurs day, May 13 at 2 p.m. in Springfield Chureh of God with the Rev. Carl Fosdick officiating. Burial will be in Wright Cemetery. Survivors include three children, Harry Goodwin of Laurel Hill, Mazelle Connell of Raeford and Darlene Robinson of Laurel Hill; a brother, William “BiU” Kersey of Laurinburg; a sister, Mary Galloway of Laurinburg; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Recent cases disposed of in Hoke County District Criminal Court: Thomas Campbell Thomas Campbell, 48, of 212 Scotland Avenue, died Thursday, May 6, 2010. The funeral will be held Wednesday, May 12 at 3 p.m. in R.L. Douglas Conference B Headquarters. Burial will be in Highland Biblical Gardens. Survivors include his wife, Stephanie Campbell; daughters, Te’Orinda Campbell, Shadae Hurst and Maurice Purcell; sons, Antonio Hurst, Dmario Ross and Jamel Hurst; his mother. Myrtle McCormick; six siblings; and two grandchildren. Forest C. Blake Forest Carlton Blake, 79, of 303 Blake Drive, died 'Monday, May 10 in FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst. He was bom in Hoke County on April 30,1931 to the late Adam and Maris Blake. His wife Barbara, a stepson Lester A. Blake IE, four sisters and two brothers preceded him in death.
