The departure of chief Arthur of
the brotherhood of locomotive engi
neers for Europe has been the
signal for an attack on him,
emanating mainly from New
York labor unions. This attack has
taken the farm of charges quietly
made that he regularly "sells out"
organixed labor whenever there Is a
great strike on. This he accomplishes,
it is alleged, through the medium of
his organization, which Arthur' e ten
dency usually contriver to bring
out on top. It is asserted thU he
has a tendency to let the cat out of
the bag whenever any movements are
on foot in the labor world.
