It will be sung at the confederate concert Mon day evening at the academy of music. 1'he reports which come in about the cotton crop are all unfavorable. ; The plants look weak and sick. Six or seven days more of good weather will be necessary to complete the planting. Cotton feed ought all to be in the ground by May 10 at the least, and so thev are in ordiuary years, Farm ers say they never know the planting to be as late as it is this season, never saw the seed germinate so sh wly or saw so large a proportion of the crop to be replanted. It has been the wetteft aud coldest spring since that of 1867.
