THE MARCH OF MEN".
If you could cast away the pain.
The sorrows ami the tears.
And let the joys alone remain.
From all imparled years;
If you could ipiitc forget the sighs
Ami recoiled Ihe song
What think you: would you be as wise,
As helpful and as strong';
I
If you could lay the burden down
Thai bows your head at whiles.
Shun everything thai weirs a frown
And live a life of smiles;
Be happy as a child again,
As free from thoughts of care
Would you appear to other men
More noble or more fait'V
Ah, no! a man should do lis part
Ami carry all his load.
Rejoice to share with every heart
The roughness of the road;
Nor givcni to thinking overmuch
Of pains and griefs behind.
But giad to be in fullest touch
With all his human kind.
