Busbeee, on North Person street, on Tuesday afternoon, at whic-n the pii', some beautiful flowers, was won by Miss Mary Shipp. Miss Busbee had as her guests only the young women visiting her friends in the city. The event was complimentary to Miss Busbee's guest, Miss lula Hawkins, of Itidgewny, who is one of Raleigh's most charming and popular visitors. Dainty refreshments were seved to the guests, who included .Miss Josephine Fh.l.ps, of Tarboro; Miss Jane Meares, of Wilming ton; Miss El Green, of Wilson; Miss Lu la Hawkins, of Ridgeway, and Miss Sally Cotton, of Oottondale. The young ladies of the two literary societies of the Baptist Female Uniyer sity are now busy arranging their haus.
