Bra*stown Township
' S. School Convention
Designed for Better Sunday Schools
To Be Held Soon
Some twelve. months agp I had the
privilege to work among the people
of my own township with some1 oi
their problems of Sunday School and
with which the Clay County Sunday
School Convention was devoted to.
The church over which I was placed
responded joyouslv to the promotion
and perfection of our Township Con
vention, which was to have been held
at Pinelog Chureh on the first Sunday
in November, 1925. *
Owing to the heavy rainfall on the
Sunday set apart for tEe Convention
we had to arrange for another con
vention. This Convention was held
at Ogden; and the Church at Ogden
was received and a Sunday School was
organized. The Sunday School elect
ed as its Superintendent Rev. L. R.
Hall. Under his supervision and lead
ers^jip the Sunday School has grown
to be almost the largest in number ol
any of the other churches in the
Township. The people are beginning
to realize that the Sunday School Is
the life of any community.
I take the privilege of saying that
since the Sunday School Convention
has again chosen me as the President
of the Churches of Brasstown Town
ship, I shall serve the people as cor
rectly and diligently as 1 know how
to. I would earnestly insist that the
young people who have the vision of
God’s great cause, may do your best
to help, me and yourselves in the task
assigned us. And to the older ones
as members of the churches of our
own township. You will make it a
point to help the timid untaught, em
barressed, boys and girls who should
come to know the responsibility of
the Christian warfare in the Church
work.
I hope to visit the other churches
in,the township very soon. I hope
that each church will gratefully and
purposely support by way of the bless
ings God has given, the next Sundaj
School Convention, which is to be held
very soon. I shall inform each church
in time for preparation in regard to'
our Sunday School .Covnention.
