BELK MATTHEWS CLASS MASCOTS ARE HOSTS TO SENIORS Priscilla beam, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Beam and Jerry Moore, son of Lt. and Mrs. Vernon U. Moft\re, mascots of the senior class at the Cherryville High School, entertained the seniors at a pretty party at the Howell Club House Friday night. The Club House was decorated in purple and white carrying out the class colors. Games and contest were en joyed during the evening under the direction of Mrs. Moore and Mrs. Beam, mothers of the mas cots Later the guests were invited in to the dining room, where the long table was covered with a white linen cloth and centered with a large bowl of white and purple mixed flowers. Tall white candles in crystal holders completed the table decorations. Sandwiches, and punch were served. FIDELJS CLASS MET FRIDAY The Fiedlis Class of the First baptist Church met Friday night at the home of Mrs. Victor Stroup. Following the business session Airs. Stroup held a Bible Quiz period which was greatly enjoyed. During the social hour delicious refreshments were served by the hostess. A large number of the member ship was present. The next meeting will he at the home of Airs. Yales Homesley with All's. Homesley and Mrs. Herbert Homesley as joint hostesses.
