Poppy Day Proves Very Successful Poppy sale in town last Satur day snonsored by American Legion .Auxiliary amounted to $155.7fi. Sales this year were around $2.r).00 increase over hist year. Girl Scouts and some High School students sold the flowers in town Saturdav. It was a most suc cessful day. We want to thank the one' who help to make it so. Nixon was head of the Cherryvillc Schools for a num ber of years and said hy was per fectly at home at this service. Aft Ier payinet tribute to the departed, the speaker spoke in honor of the more than five hundred persons from Cherr.vville and Cherr.vville Township who are now serving their country. In his advice to the living, he brought out four points which he said would make for bef ter citizenship and better living: ; namely, to think clearly, to love I fellow men, to act honestly, and to trust in Cod. His inspiring mess age was greatly enjoyed by those present Rev. W. G. Cobb pro nounced the benediction.
