Carolyn Allen Fidelis Class Met Friday The Fidelis Sunday School Class of the First Baptist church met last Friday evening at the home of Mrs. V. C. Peeler for the annu al Christmas party. After a short program and dur ing the social hour, gifts were ex changed. Mrs. Peeler, assisted by Mrs. Russell Hoover served delicious refreshments to a very large num ber of the class. ABERNETHY SHOE SHOP BETA CLUB MEETING Th* first Charryville high school Beta Beta club meeting of 1944 45 was held Tuesday night, De cember 14, 1944, at the homeof Miss Mildred Cobb. The hostesses and host were Misses Mildred Cobb, Doris Beam, and Edward Elliott. There are 15 new members in the Beta Club this year which makes a total of 22 memoirs in all. The meeting was called to order j by Sloan Sellers, the president of the club. The minutes for the last I meeting were read by Mildred Cobb. The leader of the club, Mrs. E. E. McDowell, and thb'teen members were present The project that the Be‘a club Is now working ~oh~Ts~seTImg war bonds and stamps in the school. Much progress is being made. For another project, sponsoring basket ball games was discussed, but not planned in detail. Refreshments were served and the meeting was brought to a dose by singing the National Beta Club song.
