city park. The rooms were at

was a most appropriate and time
ly discourse, entitled “The Prob
lems of the Returning Service Per
sonnel,” given by Mrs. T. A. Car
ter. Sketches from the life and
works of Inglis Fletcher, author
of “Lusty Wind for Carolina"
were reviewed by Mrs. Reman
Hall.
The club members remembered

meeting, the hostess served a

home from France. He entered
the army April 18th, 1942, and
has been over seas six months. He

pated in the Rhur Pocket on the
Rhine and Southern Germany and
had one battle star. His wife is
Mrs. Vera Eaker and lives in
Kings Mountain, N. C.
