Riddle Speaks To Booster Club The annual December Ladies Might of the Dora Booster.- Club held at the Club's meeting place over Boyies Grocery a.>t Satur day nigm. was one of the best of monthly meetings of the year. This being ladies night, most of the men present had their wives as guests. Supper was served by members of the Woman's Club, and included turkey and dredging with all the “fixin’s”. E*»oh lady present was given a nice present taken from under the beautiful ly lighted Christmas tree. Speaker of the evening was Rev. George Riddle, pastor of the First Prsbyterian Church, recent ly discharged from military ser vice, having served for several years as chaplain, with the rating of Lt. Colonel. At the request of the Club, Mr. Riddle repainted some of his experiences overseas. He told how he hiked with the men, help ed with recreation, led services, was called upon to give counsel and have services with and for men from the lowest to the high er ranks. One very interesting thought expressed was that men of higher rank were anxious to discuss the need of following the lowly Nazarene. Many of them agreed that the only thing which will bring lasting peace will be to do it with the love portrayed in the "sermon on the mount" found in the fifth, sixth and seventh chapters of Matthew. The speaker pled with those present to take inventory of then lives as they near the Christmas I Season. He summed up the needs ! of the times in three things that ■ the present generation must face: 1. The need of Unity; 2. j The great need of Sacrifice; and, 3. The great need of service.
