Sidney Cobbs of Whaleyville, Va., will be the guest preacher when revival services open Mon day night at Middle Swamp Bap tist Church, according to an an nouncement. Services will begin each night during the week, ending Sun day, at 8:30, the announcement said. FAREWELL PARTY Hobbsville. — Mrs. Woodrow Hofler entertained at a farewell party honoring Miss Jackie Mc Kinney of Reidsville on Thurs day evening. She has been the guest of Miss Rachel Jane Hof ler. MISS LANG IMPROVING Gatesville. — Amaryllis Lang, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Lang of Gatesville, is improv ing at Lake View Hospital in Suffolk. She underwent an ap pendectomy. REP. Harry Liniger, above, who for eight months was a prisoner of the Germans in Europe, and Miss Carrie Belle Carter of Gatesville, were married July 26. Sgt. Liniger And Miss Carter Wed Dillion, S. C.—Mr. and Mrs. L. S. Carter of Gatesville, N. C., announce the marriage of their daughter, Carrie Belle, to Staff Sergeant Harry A. Liniger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Liniger, also of Gatesville. The wedding took place in Dillion on July 26. Waist gunner on a Flying Fortress, Sgt. Liniger was shot down over enemy occupied Europe in 1944 and for eight months was a prisoner of the Germans. He was liberated as the war ended. They will leave Gatesville on August 11 for Miami Beach when Sgt. Liniger is scheduled to re port for duty. Gates Dinner guests in the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. T.
