Corapeake Miss Mary Lee Lassiter, who spent the week in Edenton guest of Captain and Mrs. C. T. Doughtie, returned to her home Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Grover Vann of Hampton, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Jones and daughter. Carol, of Washington, D. C„ and Mrs. Ila Jones of Winton were recent guests of Mrs. Emma Joyner and Albert Joyner. George Thomas Poison, who has been visiting his son-in-law and daughter. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Mathias, left Friday for Chester, Penn., and' will visit Valley Forge before returning to his home in Portsmouth. Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Vann have concluded a visit in Emporia, guests of Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Jones. Misses Gladys and Doris Jean Goodwin of Norfolk were guests over the weekend of their moth er, Mrs. John Aswell. Mr. and Mrs. Otto Parker and sons have-returned to their home in Hopewell after a visit here guests of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Knight.
