SOCIETY Miss Langston Nuptials Held Miss Willie Kathryn Langston, daughter of *Mrs. Malcolm Eu gene Langston, of Raleigh, and the late Sheriff -Langston of Gates county, became the bride of William Henry Goodman, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. William Henry Goodman of Gates, Sat urday, August 10, at five o’ clock. The double ring ceremony was performed by Dr. A. J. Hobbs, pastor of the Edenton street Methodist church. Miss Camille Jernigan of Ral eigh presented before the cere mony a musical program, using Claire de Lune during the cere mony. Miss Peggy Trotter of Raleigh, accompanied' by Miss Jernigan, sang “Love Everlast ing” and “The Lord’s Prayer.” The bride, given in marriage by her brother, William Eugene Langston, of Craddock, Va., wore a floor-length gown of marques ette over taffeta, fashioned with a fitted bodice, and net yoke with long embroided sleeves ending in^points over the hands. Her finger-tip veil of illusion was fastened to a bonnet trim med with orange blossoms. She carried a white prayer book, which was her maternal grand mother’s, topped with orchids and stephanosis. Miss Dorothy Anne Langston, sister of the bride, was maid of honor and only attendant. She wore a blue gown of French lace bodice with full marquesette skirt over taffeta. She carried a bouquet of mixed flowers and wore a halo of matching flow ers. Robert Goodman, of Gates, was his brother's best man. The mother of the bride wore a gown of white crepe with a shoulder corsage of talisman roses. The mother of the groom wore a gown of aqua crepe with a shoulder corsage of talisman roses. Immediately following the ceremony the mother of the bride entertained with a recep tion for the bridal party and the immediate families. After the reception Mr. and MRS. WILLIAM HENRY GOODMAN, JR., who before her marriage Saturday, Au gust 10, was Miss Willie Kath *ryn Langston, daughter of Mrs. Malcolmn Eugene Langston, of Raleigh, and the late Sher iff Langston, of Gates county. Mrs. Goodman left for a west ern trip. For traveling the bride wore a white Palm Beach suit with brown snakeskin accessor ies and a corsage of orchids. The bride attended Norfolk Business college 'and is a gra duate of Hardbarger’s Business school. Prior to her marriage she was employed in the First Na tional Exchange Bank of Roa noke, Va. The groom attended Oak Ridge Military Institute before entering the Army Air Corps. He served overseas 20 months as first lieutenant and is "now sta tioned at Pope Field, N. C.
