Patterns b nln useful. write a letter when Uhiber and the correct f^^tern vmi size of each Pattsrn Send the price of and write your name There is nothing to be seen in The Carolina Union Parmer to let the peo- Dle know there is life in old Nash, but there is. Some have thought and even said that the Nash County Union was almost dead. For several months past it has loked that way to the out side.and to the members not posted, but your humble servant has just been visiting some Locals that were thought to be sleeping and he found some sparks burning around there; that only a little fanning would soon develop in a large flame. There are fan mills running in all our Locals now. The flames are kindling and growing stronger very rapidly. Dur ing these months the Union spirit has been quietly and steadily burning in the hearts of,our leading Union men, until finally it has burst forth and is shining on the outside. In a few more days we will have our first cotton storage warehouse completed. If there are better prices just ahead, please pray that we few may share in them. Now, brother farmer of Nash, or any other county in the United States, if you grow one bale of cotton, won’t you make a little inquiry, use a little good sense and help yourself, while we are trying to help you? It's very easily done. I want to know how many Farmer’s Union cotton storage houses there are in North Carolina, and also how many to be built. If it’s not illegal, I beg that the editor of The Carolina Union Parmer, or some one else in the State, insist that we have a report from every organized county. Let’s get together and find our strength so we may know what we can do. Now, my friend, jiist as soon as you have read this little bit from old Nash County, noted for its pretty girls and good brandy, won’t you just get right out and show our very best farmers why they should belong to the Farmers’ Union? See that every member of your Local reads the Union paper, and get all your neigh bors that are not members to read it, too. I hope you will. They need it, now that the nights are getting long er. J. The v/ords Simple, Strong, Dura ble, and Efficient represent the Bell Grist Mill in their fullest capacity. It is the latest designed most modern-up-to-date mill of its type offered. Its features are as near perfect as can be had by mechanical skill and workmanship. It is built in lines with the principle of the old time hor izontal mill; in other words it is the old time horizontal inproved and made vertical. Its Features: The disk feed which is the most reliable of all feeds. The oil bearing box preventing lubricating oils from entering mill. The large bearing box containing the end thrust or regulating screw and large coil spring which has prop er tension to furnish uniform meal— this is what others have tried but failed to reach. The double twistful screw distri buting the grain uniformly against the rocks. Lose pully furnished extra on end of shaft when desired. It looks well, it does well, it is well. It is the mill people will buy. Yadkin Valley Mill & Lumber Co. ROND A, N. C.
