Tut; litviKW is the ladies' favorite paper, because of its liberal reports of the social news and other features of special interest to, them. It is proud of its thousands of lady friends and proposes this summer to send four f them off on a summer outing at its ex pense and as its guests. .. This outing will cost the ladies noth ing, and they will be The Review's guests in two of the most popular re sorts in the State. Either the Atlantic Hotel, at Morehead City, where the "ocean breezes blow," the celebrated Vade-Mec'um Springs, "the carlsbed of the South." or the Mecklenburg Hotel, at Chase City, "the South 's most pop-! ular health and pleasure resort, can be selected as the points to be visited, and every courtesy and accommodation will be accorded The Review s visit ors at these pleasant resorts. Selecting the young ladies to enjoy , this outing is a delicate task for The Review, and it has been decided to allow its readers to name them. It is proposed that each one of them shall have an equal chance in selecting the guests, and the plan decided upon will be simple and permit of no partiality j to anyone. In each issue from now until August lKth. at 10 o'clock a. m;, there will appear in this paper a coupon, entitling anyone securing the same to a vote in this contest, and boxes will be kept at ISrittian'a Fed Front Pharmacy and Fetzer & Tucker's drug store, where all ballots may be deposited. On the date named the young lady having the largest number of votes will be entitled to select the place to which she may desire to go. and also name her chaper one to accompany her. She will be permitted to select any chaperone she may desire, and the transportation and hotel expenses of both herself and chaperone will be settled for by THE Review. The young lady receiving the second largest number of votes will be permitted to Belect her chaperone and both will be entertained at the other resort with all expenses of transporta tion and hotel paid. ' The outing will be for two weeks and mav be enjoyed any time after the 18th of August, when rest and recreation is so pleasant and helpful The contest is free to every lady in Rockingham and Caswell counties, and for the pres ent the names of all those having votes will be published in The Review. The ballots will be counted every Tuesday and Friday mornings at 9 o'clock, and the result announced in this paper on those days. No one connected with this office will be allowed to vote or assist in counting the ballots. Every subscriber who has paid for The Review since the first day of June will be presented with a card good for 40 votes, and those who pay between now and 10 a. m. . on August 18th will also be given a card. A haif-dollar's subscription will entitle subscribers to 20 votes. Amounts less than 50 cents will not entitle anyone to votes and with our clubbing offers we will only trive one card of 40 votes, although the amount paid in may be more than $1. Every one will be permitted to pay all they owe on back subscription, but no one subscription can be paid for more than 18 months in advance. Cantain J. W. Peay and Messrs. R S. Montgomery and Russell Tucksr will count the ballots and issue the cards to The Revikw to be gi . en out to its subscribers.
