Mullis of the State good roads department has been In the county for the past week assiut ing County Road Superlntendan'. Robinson in the locating of a number of new public roads and relocating others. He assisted in surveying the new road from Leaksville to the Mac adam road to Wer.tworrh. This road branches off from the Reidsville Leaksville road at W. u. Settle's store and comes Into the niacadum road near the county homo. It avoids the heavy grades of the old, roaJ at Roach's creek and vyill be a great Improvement over the bid road in the way of grades. Some important changes in the Southern Railway passenger service Ko into effect on Sunday. Train No 46, which arrives here from tha South at-7:38 p. m., will be held in Greensboro one hour, in ordor that connections may be made tor the North by passengers coming in from the Mt. Airy and Goldsboro divisions This train now reaches Reidsville about 8:15 ih the evening' Another important change is the shift In schedules of trains 35 and 43. No ua after Sunday will he operated on the through schedule now applying to No. 43. It will make only the stops that are now made by 43. The latter train will be operated on the schedule now held by No. 35, making local stops. Mrs. Pearl Fllntoff Saunders, wife of Mr. P. W. Saunders, died in Richmond Saturday and herHeni&ir' were interred at the Ruffln cemetery Sunday evening. She leaves her husband, but no children. She was the daughter of Mr. J. P, ,'Flintoff of near Lawsonville. For a number of years she was an efficient trained nurse in one of the Richmond hos pitals. The funeral services wjre conducted by Rev. E. N.
