Mrs. I'ennie Brown of Guilford County Is visiting her grandson, Mr. V. R. Brown on Montgomery street. Airs. Brown is in her 95th year and Is hale and hwirty. Ind., but left motherless when an in fant has been reared by her aunt, Mrs. John liblin of this city. She is one of Carrollton's most beautiful and talented young girls. The groom has been book-keeper for the Taylor To bacco Co. for several seasons. They will return to Carrollton for several weeks' stay, after which they go to Reidsville, N. C, to make their home. The Senior Class of the High School has been fortunate in securing Mr. George Rogers, a famous American Tenor, to sing at the Graded School auditorium at eight o'clock Saturday evening. Mr. Rogers has recently re turned from Furope and is now mak ing a tour of his own country. He passes through Reidsville from Farm- vilie, Va., where he sings on Friday night. Miss Florence Rohr. former Reidsville. teacher, now of Parmvllle, knew Mr. Rogers in Paris, and she' is country, our flag, our President and all others in authority, and while we are not as old as some other countries, w-e know and appreciate hevnage due our first president.
