Tobacco breaks have been light at tluo local warehouses this week owing to unfavorable weather for handling the weed. Prices were up a little stlffer than they were before the hol idays. Manager Springs of the Southern Express Co. has had to recently add another room o the express office in the William son building to accommodat the fast growing business. Large quantities of tobacco are shipped by express ev ery day. The local manufacturers make practically al, shipments of less han 100 pounds by express now In stead of by freight, as the rates ou small shipments are as cheap or hoivper by express. Over 900 boxes of tobacco were shipped from here Wednesday which was about an av erage day's business.
