Red Cross Notes The display of knitted gar ments in Wilmoth's show window last Friday created quito an in terest among tho people, both of tho town and country. It repre sented the fifth box' of woolen garments that have been prepar ed and sent to Atlanta by the Elkin Red Cross Society for our soldier boys. It contained 22 sweaters, .",5 pairs box, 10 pairs wristlets and 2 mu filers. The total numbrr of knit ar ticles Rent by tho Elkin branch Udatc is 04 sweaters, lM muf flers, 113 pairs box and 57 pairs of wristlets. In addition to these there has been a large quantity of surgical dressings, bandages, etc., prepared and sent forward. ltit-ro is still room lor more workers and tho list is open for more new members.
