In this end of the county, the turning down of the issue was of special interest to Bryan township community where a tax levy was recently voted to take care of further and higher edu j cational needs there. In the special meeting Friday Dr. J. H. Fulgham, president of Mountain Park Junior College, made a special proposition to the effect that the county furnish three teachers to be added to the Mountain Park faculty and operate school busses to carry the students to and from school that Mountain Park will bear all other expenses and give free tui tion to all high school students. A petitioin asking that the Mountain Park offer be accepted and full cooperation with Moun tain Park be made has been sign ed by the following tax payers in that community: W. B. GUY DUNCAN ABLE TO RESUME DUTIES Highway Patrolman, Guy Dun can waß here Tuesday, enroute to Kinston to resume his duties with the state police. Mr. Duncan has been convalescing at his home In Sparta from an injury to his shoulder received when he was blown off Roaring Cap Mountain by a March wind.
