Why not plant a ate patch of corn, for late roast- 1 ng ears and feed. Corn planted now will likely mature before frost and "Should it "not mature it makas excellent feed cut in the roasting ear stage.and fed to livestock In planting this late corn pst •h a piece of fertile land should be se]ected if possible, then all the barnyard manure available should be applied, and a liberal amount of fertilizer usld. It does not require very much cul tivation to make this late corn. The cor n can be planted after wheat or oats are harvested. You may say that this is hard on land, to be sure it is hard ,on land if there is not an applica tion of manure applied, which should be done. But it is hard on the pocket book to buy eorn." Especially is this true when to bacco brings a low price. Leta raise enough corn and roughage this year to feed the livestock on the farm. jfe Mr. and Mrs. J. E.
