Banker Makes Loans to Farm Boys, and So Far He Has Not Lost A Nickel IS AN UNUSUAL HOBBY Cyril. Okla., April 3. T. D. Call, is a banker by profession and a lender of money without interest to needy farm boys by in clination—and he's never lost a nickel through his generosity. Three years ago Call, executive vice president of the Bank of Cy ril, decided to branch out from loans with cash interest to loans with the only interest the welfare of farm boys of this small com munity. He estimated today he had leiit $3,700 to 80 boys in three years, and about $2,000 of that has been" repaid. It all will be repaid. Call predicted. The only security demanded, Call said, "is a willingness to work." Each year. Banker Call has a party—he brings the dueks too— and the boys make that an occa sion to repay their loans. What prompted Call in his un usual hobby?. "I believe that as a community grows, so the bank grows," Call said, "Helping farm boys is the best way I know to help a com munity grow."
