Hancock. The proceeds amounted to SBO.OO, which will be used for school equipment. ' Mrs. Emma Reece Mock left Sunday afternoon for Chapel Hill, where she will take a three months' course in Social Security work. Mr. and Mrs. Grady Norman of Winston-Salem and Mr. Norman's mother, Mrs. Sarah Norman, vis ited Mrs. Everett Alberty and her mother, Mrs. E. J. Layne who is eighty seven years young. Mr. J. M. Atkins who has been ill for some time is now in Mar tins Memorial hospital for treat ment and many friends wish for him a speedy recovery. Mr. and Mrs. T. C. Alberty vis ited Mrs. Alberty's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Shackelford of Ararat, N. C. Sunday. They also visited friends at Martin's Memorial Hos pital. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bryant and son Douglas of High Point were the week-end visitors of Mr. and Mrs. T. C. Alberty. HOME-COMING DAY AT MOUNTAIN PARK MAY 9 Home-Coming day will be held at Mountain Park Baptist church Sunday, May 9.
