a daughter, Nanoy Lee, at Htigh
Chatham Memorial Hospital, Au
gust 5. Mrs. Fletcher was form
erly Miss Elizabeth Evans of this

the week-end in Columbia, S. C.,

HENDERSON MAN IS
ARRESTED TUESDAY
Oscar W. Capps, of Henderson,
was arrested here Tuesday for
V&nce county officers by Chief of
Police Dixie Graham on a war
rant sent here by Sheriff J. E.
Hamlet.
Capps was charged with aban
donment and non-support of his
wife, and was taken back to Hen
derson Tuesday night by Sheriff
Hamlet. He had been working
here for some weeks as a painter.
