Preaching services at Ronda
Methodist church will be held on
second and fourth Sundays in
stead of first and third Sundays.
Roaring River Methodist church
has been added to the Jonesville
charge, therefore some changes
had to be made. On the second
Sunday in each month our pas
tor, Rev. Dwight B. Mullis, of
Jonesville, will preach at Ronda
at 10 a.m. and at Roaring River
at 11 a.m. Then on the fourth
Sunday in each month he will
preach at Roaring River at 10:00
a.m., and at Ronda at 11 a.m.

ing in Winston-Salem last Fri
day.
The Hallowe'en carnival, the
parade and the miniature fair
which were held here on Wed
nesday night of last week were
very interesting. The exhibits
were real nice. Benham, Cling
»an, Pleasant Hill, Pleasant
Ridge and Ronda schools were all
represented. The queen of the
fair was Miss Josephine Johnson.
She was attended by Misses Ag
nes Transou and Mozell Bradley.

Ronda high school has com
pleted the first' quarter of this
school term very successfully. Re
port cards have gone out. The
school attendance has increased
over records of a year ago.
Mr. and Mrs. Luther Hurt en
tertained the Ronda school fac
ulty at their home on Tuesday
evening of last week. A delicious
bufeft style supper was served,
after which games were played
and everyone had a grand time.
