tNew Records for Grangers. Cot
ton Strong. Weaker Wheat
Market at New Tork.
Special to Journr'.
New York, .July 22 -London was a
seller of slocks, today, and it is reported
they a: e lai Kcly short sales.
Prices opened here strong and existing
conditions were the features.
Legitimate slocks continue their up
ward course, the Grangers making new
records for the year.
The feeling on the market is extreme
ly cncoi'.tajing.
Suja- was weaker upon the gamblers
in the TJoi.ed States Senate, unloading.
Cotton was strong despite a weak
Liverpool market and good rains. We
believe in higher prices.
Wheat ruled weaker in New York
upon large receipts at Northwestern
points. 1 he holiday in Chicago made a
net row market.
We look for a decline at tomorrow's
opening and then an advance.
