Great progress was made here yesterday towards the conaumatien of the plans of the Greater Seaboard Air Line System. . : . :. . . Meetings were held of the directors and stockholders of the Raleigh and Qatton ; Railroad, and resolutions were adopted providing for the Immediate merger with the Raleigh and Gaston Railroad, of-the Raleigh and Angasta Air Line, of the Durham and Northern Rallraod, the Carolina Central Railroad, the Georgia Carolina and Northern Rail road, '.he Palmetto Railroad and Chester field aud Kershaw Railroad. ' ' Under the plan adopted all the physi cal properties of the abore mentioned railroad companies will be : forthwith acquired by the Raleigh and Gaston Rail road Company, thus Increasing the mile age owned by the Raleigh and Gaston to eight hundred miles. - "" - " Arrangements were also made for the Issurance.of $9,000,000 first mortgage bonds upon the9 Raleigh and Gaston Railroad properties, including its owner ship tn ether lines.
