'" President Mitchell of the Miners Union, claims that 111,000. miners have struck. He says: '"The outlook la very bright, and from the spirit and disposition of the men I am confident of success. Everything In dicates that the ' mine owners will be compelled to meet our demands within a very short time." ' The coal mine owners and operators claim that 60 per cent of the miners are at work. A girl died in this city today from bubonic plague. Five additional cases of the bubonic plague were reported yesterday. The five new cases are those of the wife and two children of a hospital worker and his mother and sister. The family comes from tbe neighborhood where the plague appeared at first.
