Taylor chairman, the other members being Uev. kDr, Yann, Prof. Slkes aud N. B. Broughton. Arrange ments were completed for raising $100, 0)0 next year far hi her education, of this sum 50,0C0 is to go to the Baptist Fe male University here, $30,000 to Wake Forest college, $10,000 to Chowan Baptist female institute and the remaining $10, 000 Is to be divided among perhaps a dozen Baptist high schools. Chairman Taylor says it is the purpose to establish a high school or academy in every one of the SO BaptiBt Associations. The legislature will be asked to change the name of the Baptist Female Unlver sily here to the Woman's College It appi-aid that a number of the Baptists do not like the present name.
