One pen alty for the violation of Le act is the revocation of tho proprietar's license forever, while if a policeman is aware of gambling places and does not do his duty he Is deprived forever of the right to hold that office. The. bill passed, al though it came up with an unfavoiable report from the committee, and all the amendments to fie bill were voted down. It is the first compulsory educa tion bill that has ever passed in North arolina. A hill was introduced in the House to day to prohibit Sunday trains from running.
