State Auditor Dixon, with a view to; making .a ' new roster of North Carolina tcoopa la- the Confederate service, has asked the regis ter of deeds of each county to give him the names of three Intelligent and relia ble Veterans. ' Theae-names are In hand and the auditor la rapidly receiving re ports from these veterans. Opposite each de serter's name' will appear that fact. Here Is a letter from Capt. Swift Gallo way showing the need of soch a roster. Here is another from Mr. F.
