inmate of the Home, who after the In-
Testigatlon yesterday was dishonorably
discharged, wat la Co. B., 81st, N. C,
Regiment, and deserted near Charleston,

and hid In the woods until the close of
the war. Your correspondent was the
first to print the charge of the desertion

Home. As yet the board of directors
has not arranged who shall be at Its
bead. Dr. Dixon has 'leased the old

ary attached to the position. It Is a la

There is, as stated, a suit here against
this city by bar-keepers whose places of
business are beyond the boundary, but
who have had to pay taxes. The amount
claimed is $12,000. The suit against
Fayetteville, if fault is necessary, will

ville is something like $1,500.
