Carioll D. Wright, United States labor commis sioner, arrived here this morning and to day delivered the annual address before the cadets of the A. M. college. He was Introduced by Oov. Aycock. The last meeting of the old board of trustees of the A. & M. College was held today. Under a new law the board of Agriculture will In future have charge of the college. Some changes were made Id the faculty today, salaries re duced somewhat and steps taken to push tho work on the textile building, the plans for which were submitted by trus tee D. A. Tompkins. Mr. Boa well says tho floods have liter ally destroyed the land. He Illustrates this by the oase of a tenant who went to a land owner yesterday and said, "The corn and cotton are gone." "Well, we'i: re-plant,"-said ' tho owner. "But the laud is gone," said the tenant. W. A.
