The graduating exercises take place to
morrow morning. This school closes

tory. At the Baptist Female University

the baccalaureate sermon, Rev. W. C.
Tyree the missionary sermon. This
morning Rev. Dr. W. E. Hatcher of
Richmond delivered the annual literary
address, The attendance during the
term has been over 260. .
President James D. McNeill of the
North Carolina State Firemen's Asso
ciation, was here today to meet the local
Bremen, with a view to having the an
nual convention and its attendant tour
nament held at Raleigh. He said he
had no doubt that it would be held
here.
The State charters the Broaddus and
Ives Lumber Company of New Bern,
capital $50,000.

failing health and falling eyesight.
