E Itham ft Co, New York, November 14. A rather unexpected break In the stock market unsettled cotton. We eipected greater steadiness, bat apparently the financial sltuatloa Is such as to prevent specula tion and with a long Interest In the mar ket to be liquidated, buyers for the cot ton that came on market seemed few. January was thrown over In big quanti ties when the stock market declined, and thlt carried January down to 7.98. Jan uary and Mar sold at tht tame price at one time, also the January March differ ence was but 7 points during the a m. and 6 points In the p. m. Wt are frank to say we do not know what to say when a market breaks back to the low level. It Is apt to go lower. Receipts are likely to be large and this may weaken Southern markets, opinions here art divided. January liquidation eaa have but one result It can unsettle tht whole market and carry prices lower. Tht break In stocks Is 1 Iktly to bring holders of January some trouble, and bankers will tot advance money as heretofore. From the action of tht mar ket today we would not be surprised to see a lower levtL Cotton may be worth Sc. In every respect, and yet with teml- panlsky conditions In Wall Street and a lot of January to come oat, one or two panicky dayt In tht near future art not out of the question. Wt would only buy moderately on breaks. 0. W. Lis Co. HADE A fURIf OYER. Any One Can do It A principal la a public school la Ohio had a food experience that will be fa (liar to many school teachers.
