Church st Wilson, will be of Interest tc
his many friends here.
We hesrd yesterday a very fine serine n
by the profound and scholarly Mr
Thomas, the very popular pastor of the
Presbyterian church. And by the way,
Mr. Thomas Is a preacher of real ability
and we have never yet heard from him
a poor effort. He always give bis hear
ers something that will do them good
and make them think,. snd lift tbem up.
He Is well equipped, and with hla braw
ny brain and magnificent cultors could
reap the highest honors In tba iecu'ar
pursuit of Ufa. But, untempted by the
love of gain, he has turned aalde from
the glittering bat hollow snd en(.t;
baubles of sinful, worldly fame, and
consecrated his talents to that vocation
which makes humanity nobler and hap.
